Frequently Asked Questions

How many times should I say SubhanAllah after prayer?
The Prophet ﷺ recommended saying SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times, and Allahu Akbar 34 times after every obligatory prayer — totaling 100. This practice is reported in Sahih Muslim and brings immense reward. Our counter has these preset targets built in.
What are the benefits of dhikr in Islam?
Dhikr brings peace to the heart (Quran 13:28), earns forgiveness and reward, and keeps you connected to Allah throughout the day. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Shall I not tell you the best of your deeds, the most pleasing to your Lord? It is the remembrance of Allah" (Tirmidhi). Regular dhikr also helps reduce anxiety and increase mindfulness.
What dhikr should I recite daily?
Essential daily adhkar include: SubhanAllah (33x), Alhamdulillah (33x), Allahu Akbar (34x) after each prayer; SubhanAllahi wa bihamdihi (100x) morning and evening for sins to be forgiven; La ilaha illallah (100x) for 100 good deeds; and Salawat upon the Prophet ﷺ as often as possible.
Can I use a digital counter instead of prayer beads (misbaha)?
Yes. What matters is the remembrance of Allah, not the method of counting. While prayer beads (misbaha/tasbih) are a beloved tradition, digital counters are equally valid. The Prophet ﷺ himself counted on his fingers. Use whatever helps you maintain consistency in your dhikr practice.
